Google Adwords is an amazing tool to drive traffic to your website. You get highly targeted on demand visitors with just a little bit of setup.
However, Google charges a "Stupid Tax". (Hey, that’s the industry’s name for it, not mine). Basically, what it means is Google rewards advertisers that do it right, and penalizes advertisers that do it wrong.
Setup your campaigns wrong, and you are likely to pay $5 to $10 per click. Ouch. Set it up right, and you can be driving interested visitors to your site for a few pennies.
There’s a lot of good information out on the web about Google Adwords , and if you can swing the price tag, I highly recommend Perry Marshall’s "Definitive Guide To Google " for a comprehensive tutorial on not just the how’s but the why’s. But, if you are just starting out, and need a good reference, free… then this book is for you.
